Sound Therapy and Relaxing Day Retreats
Petra Healing, Six Mile Bottom, Newmarket, SuffolkPetra Healing is set on a private estate at Six Mile Bottom, just outside Newmarket in Suffolk. I’m incredibly grateful and blessed to have such glorious countryside right on my doorstep.
I often open my home to both small groups and individuals wishing to experience tuning fork sound healing, either 1 to 1, group sound baths or nature nurture day retreats. I have a private sound therapy treatment room, a courtyard with a small day bed that can be used for sound healing and access to the amazing woodland walks around the estate.
Services
- Individual sound therapy treatments
- Pet sound therapy sessions
- Day retreats – relax and reconnect on a nature nurture day
- Group sound baths – experience a deep vibrational sonic massage!
- Sound healing workshops
Sound therapy, retreat days and group sound baths are by appointment only.
You are invited to join my Meetup Group “Re-Tune Your Mind & Body With Sound Tuning Forks“, where I will post the regular group sound bath sessions.
Petra Healing can be a little awkward to find as I am off the beaten track. For this reason, all sound sessions and day retreats will start during daylight hours.

Why visit Petra Healing?
My home is a comfortable 100-year-old house and has been described as having a lovely warm feeling about it. With an enclosed courtyard, garden and nestled next to woods surrounded by fields it lends itself to be nurtured in nature.
With only 4 neighbours, this rural setting is a private hideaway from the hustle and bustle of life! There are only 5 other dwellings here and so it’s rather quiet and that’s what attracted me here 20 years ago.
Petra Healing is a quarter of a mile down the track to the road.
Turning left takes you 5 minutes by car to drop onto the A14 to Cambridge etc, or just a couple of minutes you pass Newmarket Equine Hospital and arrive at The July Racecourse.
Turning right from the track takes you 1 minute to drive to The Green Man pub famous for its steaks and 800 yards further Dick White Referrals the specialist vets and then the A11 which can take you towards to Cambridge, Duxford Air Museum, the pretty market town of Saffron Walden and the M11 to London.
My home is next to the road or track so just be mindful when walking out of the gate for traffic which may be the odd horse box, horse, chicken or, on occasion, pheasants and very large hares!
Getting around
Transport is vital as I live in a unpopulated area. If you’re coming to stay for a few days on a retreat, I am happy to pick you up from Newmarket bus/train station.
